1974

SATI S.p.A. is founded in Calderara di Reno (Bologna) thanks to the entrepreneurial motivation of 3 partners. A team made up of 5 people begins the manufacturing of industrial gears to integrate the range of gearboxes. They work in a small workshop and use 4 gears cutters and 1 lathe.

1977

The company relocates to Zola Predosa (Bologna) and the company structure is expanded.
Now 4 lathes and 20 gear cutters are used. SATI starts establishing itself on the market as a manufacturer of power transmission products.

1989

Ames Rambaldi flies to China. He is one of the first entrepreneurs exploring the Chinese markets and, as a manufacturer, fosters the productive potential of his future strategic partners. The now 5 partners of the company, Ames, Roberto, Carlo, Max, Moreno and Van successfully run the company and the turnover rises to 7 billion lira.

1996

The partnership with China is reinforced.
A double range of products – Italian and Chinese – for each product type, along with the capability of talking with any customer in the world in his own language, successfully drive SATI’s development.

1998

SATI relocates to larger headquarters in Crespellano (Bologna).
Certification ISO 9001 is achieved and the strict in-house control policy guarantees product quality.

2003-2004

Key investments are made in the logistics, IT department and QC procedures. Diogene, Sati’s e-business portal, is created and the turnover reaches 15 million euros. Strong points are: quality, service, competitiveness and flexibility, which enable Sati to satisfy the most demanding customers.

2016

With its 33 million euros turnover, SATI is market leader in the supply of sprockets and plate wheels, bushes and clamping elements, V-belt pulleys and timing belt pulleys, racks, couplings, chains and customized items.
Director of the company team, made up of 70 people, is always Ames Rambaldi, today the sole trader.

2019

Sati closes an M&A operation with a large Italian company, Megadyne, in turn part of the international Ammega Group, leader in the production of industrial belts and conveyor belts, with a consolidated network of factories all over the world. The inclusion of Sati products integrates perfectly with the Ammega offer, creating a complete range, capable of better integrating customer needs.

2023

The constant concern for workers' health and safety has led Sati to achieve the prestigious UNI ISO 45001:2018 certification, an international standard setting the requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system

The future

New products, new markets, investments in high performance computing and state-ofthe-art logistics. SATI is planning a future of innovation, but its vision has always been the same: taking care of its customers by offering excellence service.

The materials and products our suppliers use pass all the tests laid down by the latest international standards, such as UNI EN ISO 9001:2015.
Traceability and inspection tests are indeed the milestones of a Quality Assurance system, and we’re well aware of it. That’s why we use of the most advanced testing equipment, certified by authorized institutions, providing us with quick and accurate results, thus guaranteeing a constant reliability of all our products.
